Whose Rump Are You Roasting?

Written by James Whitley with developmental editing assistance from Yvonne Perry. Published by Cold Tree Press in 2007.

Are you beat-up and burnt-out? Why, in an age of unsurpassed wealth, are so many people sad and unhappy? Most of us believe in the American Dream . . . in theory. But no matter how much we try, we somehow can't seem to find true happiness in our daily lives.

Originally penned as a guide for his young daughters, James draws upon the analogy of the "turnspit dog" for inspiration and catalogs his intimate journey from personal devastation to redemption. In a style that is irreverent and keenly insightful, he presents a powerful inquiry into finding and living an abundant life. Whose Rump Are You Roasting? is an inspirational guide to discovering your inner strength and negotiating the rocky passages to personal triumph.  Purchase on Amazon.com

100 Spiritual Secrets

100 Spiritual Secrets by Dr. Reginald G. Johnson. Developmental assistance provided by Yvonne Perry in 2006. The author did not publish this book.

Dying to be Young

Dying to Be Young: A Cosmetic Nightmare, A Spiritual Awakening was originally released in 2006 under a different title with another publisher. The book went to #1 in six weeks and has since been picked up and reprinted/published by Pegasus. The new version is due to be re-released in September 2008.

Dr. Eric and his wife Bonnie Kaplan received injections of what they thought was a popular anti-aging serum. As it turned out, they had been poisoned with botulism and nearly died three days later. This book is about their harrowing ordeal in a year-long recovery during which Eric had three supernatural encounters with angels that assured him he would not die, but that he would live to tell his story. And what a story it is!

Yvonne Perry served as a developmental editor for this book in 2006.

The Blessing of Liberation, A Path to Cleansing Karma

In this new book, Reverend Cherise Thorne presents a unique and profound cosmology that was developed from her own experiences as a medium, a healer, and a channel for divine energy. In addition to explaining how the universe was formed, she offers the reader valuable techniques that they can use for deepening their own comprehension of what the Universe is all about, and the spiritual unity that underlies all that we experience. By studying and meditating upon the deep wisdom developed by the author, and seeing how it fits within the context of your own life and what you have experienced, you will be able to question the conventional cosmological thinking with greater confidence and better see your place in All That Is.

The Secret Power of Words

The Secret Power of Words Manifesting What You Say by Dr. Reginald G. Johnson.  Developmental assistance provided by Yvonne Perry in 2006.

Words are spoken as rewards from those we love, or used as weapons to cause hurt. Words inspire us. They form an atomic link to the Universe where they bring either miracles or mayhem, love or lust, health or sickness, gratification or utter despair.

My Life: An Extraordinary Journey

Originally from Trenton, Tennessee, Thomas Winfrey was a self-employed owner of the Intermediate Care Facility for Mentally Retarded Adults located in Trenton, Tennessee.

My Life: An Extraordinary Journey is a biography by Thomas Winfrey that depicts the ups and downs we all find in our lifetimes through the real-life tales by Thomas Winfrey. Mr. Winfrey describes the roller-coaster ride he has taken throughout his lifetime, starting with the extreme situation of being married to one woman, having a girlfriend, and living with a third! Growing up poor, Winfrey had to deal with what was given to him.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Thomas Winfrey's life was when his mentally challenged nephew, Joe, inspired him to try to make better lives for other mentally challenged children and adults around him. The Margie Home, named after Thomas's wife, was founded in order to house and teach mentally challenged adults ways to break out on their own and lead more independent lifestyles. A huge success, the start of the Margie Home brought in profit for Winfrey, but most importantly, it brought him great satisfaction in knowing he was making a difference in the lives of those around him.
